Details
As the world’s largest overseas aid charity, we deliver real change for millions of children in the hardest places in the world. The UK Government Relations Team leads our engagement with political decision makers ensuring that we have a strong, influential and credible voice to leverage real change for children in poverty.

Salary: Circa £28,291 and could pay up to £32,719 for an exceptional, experienced candidate (inc. London Weighting)
Based: Victoria, London
Two posts available

Delivering our Parliamentary engagement, you will thrive (and spend 60% of your time) getting out, getting known, and getting stuck in to building relationships across Parliament and using these to advocate for real change for children living with poverty.  You will be able to quickly get to grips with complex policy and use it clearly and appropriately, and as the external face of World Vision in Parliament, you will be able to represent World Vision and our issues confidently and proactively.

To fully deliver your objectives you will also need to spend time getting alongside our international programmes and our policy teams, demystifying Parliament, engaging them in Parliamentary networks and delivering internal/external communications to World Vision's broader political stakeholders.

Ideally from a background working in Parliament or public affairs you will bring great interpersonal skills, a high level of flexibility and everything it takes to operate without supervision.

If you want to put your political knowledge and experience into action to make a real difference for children in poverty, then we’d like to hear from you.

Interview dates: 7th or 8th December 2011.
Closing Date
27th November 2011
