This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading thinktank that promotes local The Wine & Spirit Trade Association are looking for an experienced Policy and Communications professional with a good understanding of UK politics and government.
The role reports to the Chief Executive and has primary responsibility for the WSTA’s:

- Environment and Sustainability policy
- Logistics and freight policy
- WSTA Budget Submissions
The candidate will need to:

- Design, implement and evaluate the WSTA Campaign Strategy in conjunction with the WSTA Chief Executive
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of relevant policy and trade issues in order to identify threats and opportunities for the WSTA and members
- Produce briefing papers, policy documents, newsletters, speeches, news articles, web content and other written communications
- Conduct meetings with WSTA members, politicians, government officials, trade associations and other stakeholders
- Maintain relations and dialogue with all relevant stakeholder trade associations to facilitate joint action, improved communication and intelligence
- Manage the work of the Logistics Group and work with Chief Executive to prepare the papers & minutes for the Executive Board
- With the Head of Communications use media, trade and national press, effectively for all campaign activities.
