Save the Children has a 90 year history of improving the lives of children most at need in the UK. We have recently refocused and realigned our activities to lead a step change in eliminating UK child poverty
As part of our strategy we are now recruiting a UK Housing & Neighbourhoods Policy Advisor. You will play a key role in our ongoing campaign to ensure children’s lives in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are never harmed by poverty.
The role will play a lead role in the Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns (PAC) Management Team in UK Programmes. The role of PAC is to develop and deliver our portfolio of policy, advocacy and campaigns work across the UK.
You will have the opportunity to develop policy positions and assist with the development of policy-based campaigns on housing and neighbourhood issues as they relate to child poverty in the UK. You will be our housing and neighbourhoods policy specialist and will direct and develop our work in this area.
As an influencer and expert in housing and neighbourhoods policy we see you bringing to the role experience and a track record of success on policy development and advocacy. You’ll need in-depth knowledge of the social policy and governmental contexts, with a clear understanding of the four administrations within the UK
In return we offer the opportunity to work in an organisation committed to creating change, enabling you to have a direct impact on improving the lives of children across the UK.
Interviews are planned for week of 26th March, however there is some flexibility around this.
