Our Brussels based EU Policy & Public Affairs team is looking for a full-time Policy Officer. Start date: immediate Reporting to the Head of EU Policy & Public Affairs, you will: Be responsible for managing a range of policy portfolios, monitoring and analysing developments in the EU institutions and the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) affecting the property sector Work with RICS experts to prepare relevant, clear and concise position papers Build and maintain an effective network of contacts and stakeholders to the benefit of RICS Make regular contributions to a range of RICS communication channels You will have: At least 2-3 years experience in an EU institution, government relations or political influencing work The ability to work on your own initiative to agreed outcomes, managing multiple projects simultaneously Excellent oral and written communication skills, including business writing in English and ideally fluency in another European language Experience of organising and managing networking and influencing events Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team in an international environment The ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines The confidence and poise to represent RICS effectively and professionally with people at all levels
