OXFAM PURPOSE: To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering
TEAM PURPOSE: The UK Government Relations Team sits within the Public Policy and Advocacy Team and manages Oxfam's overall relationships with key UK decision-makers and institutions, and delivers on strategies targeting them to advance Oxfam's campaign and advocacy priorities.
JOB PURPOSE: Working with the Parliamentary Adviser & Deputy Head of UK Government Relations, support Oxfam's political and parliamentary strategies. Assist in contact management regarding Oxfam's relationship with UK parliamentarians and UK Government. Work on mapping Oxfam's links and relationships with key UK and global decision makers. Lead on parliamentary and political monitoring and information management for the team to ensure Oxfam is delivering an intelligence led and joined up influencing strategy. Support or lead on specific projects including parliamentary events and Oxfam's work at party conferences. Work with others including the advocacy issue teams and campaigns team in particular.
