Details	Great Internship Opportunity!!! This job is located in West London (W3) We are looking for a recent graduate interested in a career in public affairs, politics, to support the Senior Public Affairs Advisor and campaigning activities undertaken by the Campaigns and Public Policy team. The internship will provide candidates with an excellent opportunity to forge professional relationships and gain experience in the development and implementation of NCT policy and campaigning at a regional, national and UK wide level. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to: Assist the Public Affairs Advisor and/or Campaigns and Public Policy Team at a range of external meetings To provide research and administrative support for work undertaken by NCT representatives on the NCT Manifesto follow up tasks Administering the database of political contacts and changes as a result of the General Election Maintaining a political meetings grid for Managers & Advisors, arranging the diary as necessary Provide assistance to the Public Affairs programme Work with other departments within NCT Draft a range of written materials, including briefings, daily parliamentary and or political briefings, correspondence etc Liaises with Volunteers in connection with Public Affairs work and local political meetings The successful candidate will have: Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent IT skills Excellent organisational skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to use initiative and take direction from Campaigns and Public Policy staff This position is offered for an initial period of three months on a full time basis. The internship is unpaid, but NCT will pay for the below: All travel costs Lunch Allowance Interviews will take place on the 18th March 2010. We are an equal opportunities employer.
