National trade association seeks an experienced federal government relations professional to lead the association's federal legislative efforts. Principal legislative and regulatory focus is on employment-related issues.
Will play a significant role in working with association members and lobbyists to research, analyze, and evaluate implications of health and tax legislation, develop industry positions, and create opportunities for the association membership to advocate the positions before Congress and the Administration.
Job Requirements
Seeking a person with dynamic and seasoned Hill experience. Candidate must possess familiarity with government affairs representation preferably with access to key committees and staff as well as firm understanding of legislative procedures. Candidate must have the ability to communicate persuasively on complex concepts and preferably should have experience in maintaining bipartisan working relationships.
Candidate should have strong knowledge of PAC operational requirements as well as grassroots advocacy management experience.Work history should demonstrate progressively responsible experience. Knowledge or experience with employee benefit and employment laws is a plus. Impeccable ethics, judgment, and integrity are a must.
