Details	Vacancy for cover maternity leave EU affairs: Protection of children against sexual abuse and NGO governance. Missing Children Europe is looking to recruit a dynamic and intelligent M/F to follow up on: - projects related to child sexual exploitation as well as - corporate governance projects during the maternity leave of the organisation’s Deputy Secretary General (6 months). Missing Children Europe is the European Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children. It represents 23 NGOs of 17 European countries active in the combat against the disappearance and sexual exploitation of children. Tasks: Support the Secretary General in coordinating activities in the field of protection of children against sexual exploitation or abuse and liaise with European and international partners concerned. Support the Secretary General in implementing decisions of the General Assembly and Board of Directors and respond to ad hoc requests of Missing Children Europe’s Secretary General, President and 23 member organisations. Support the team in the day to day business of the organization. Profile, skills and background: Essential: University degree (preferably in European Studies or law) or equivalent by experience Understanding of the problem of sexual exploitation of children, in particular in the online environment Excellent command of English and good command of French Understanding of the EU umbrella organisations Ability to work with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds Ability to work well with others in a small team Ability to work quickly and efficiently as well as stress resistant Good knowledge of basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook …) Good organisational and managerial skills Good communication, representation and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel for meetings abroad when required Desirable: Experience in working with the European Commission, ideally in managing EU funded projects Experience in and understanding of general children’s rights / child protection issues Our offer Organisation: An exciting job in a small but dynamic organisation dealing with problems related to the disappearance and sexual exploitation of children at European level. Duration: The project assistant would be recruited for a 6 month period, starting early April at the latest. Remuneration: Competitive NGO remuneration, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification, including lunch voucher, transfer costs, hospital insurance.
