Lexington Communications is one of the UK’s leading independent public affairs and communications agencies. We are currently looking for an intern to join our London public affairs practice, helping to implement a campaign for a new client. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic individual with an interest in politics, planning, and local government issues.

We are looking for candidates capable of undertaking the following tasks:

  • Research to support clients’ business needs
  • Ability to manage administrative systems and support extensive contact programmes
  • Stakeholder communications, including organising local events and handling correspondence
  • Policy and media monitoring, as well as media liaison

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail in research and written presentation, as well as benefiting from core interpersonal skills. Previous experience working within the planning or public affairs sectors is not essential but would be beneficial. This post would suit candidates with experience of campaigning at a constituency level.

In addition, the successful candidate would have the opportunity to be involved in other accounts in the property and planning team, as well as our preparations for the election.

We would envisage this role to last up to three months and we are keen to fill this position as soon as possible. Candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as the post may be filled before the closing date.
