A graduate looking for a job in public affairs? An experienced lobbyist looking for a step up the ladder? Below is a selection of sites where vacancies in public affairs jobs can be regularly found. The job market in lobbying is an extremely competitive one, particularly for graduates. However, growth in the industry and the rapid labour turnover of many consultancies ensures that there are regularly new opportunities available.

If you unsure public affairs is the right direction for you, we have listed some gateways to alternative options too.

Public Affairs

Jobradipo - www.jobrapido.co.uk

Prospects - www.prospects.ac.uk
"Prospects - The Official Graduate Careers Website - the best way to find graduate jobs, postgraduate courses and graduate careers advice."

PubAffairs - www.pubaffairs.org

Public Affairs Jobs - www.publicaffairsjobs.com
Regularly updated list of generally senior vacancies, including those based as far afield as Italy and Brussels.

Public Affairs News - www.publicaffairsnews.com
The industry trade rag unsurprisingly has a good range of jobs, particularly those at a higher level.

Public Politics - http://jobs.publictechnology.net
Primarily a politics news monitoring site, but includes a useful job search facility.

The Graduate - www.thegraduate.co.uk
"TheGraduate is a specialist jobsite for elite graduates seeking their first career move.  The Graduate includes hundreds of career opportunities & graduate schemes with leading companies throughout the UK.  It's the fast-track route to finding the best UK graduates!  In addition to the website, The Graduate publishes a directory which goes to over 50,000 graduates at the UK's top universities."

The Right Ethos - www.therightethos.co.uk
"The Right Ethos is a specialist recruitment consultancy for the not-for-profit sector. We are unique. The organisations we work with all have one thing in common: they campaign and they work to change our society and our world for the better. Many of the organisations we work for aren't charities due to the political nature of their work.

We deal with jobs that fall into two categories:
  • Recruiting for campaigning organisations
  • Recruiting staff for the campaigning teams of charities.

w4mp - www.w4mp.org
Billed as 'the site for everyone working for an MP', w4mp has a regularly updated and well used list of vacancies. Particularly good for finding internship opportunities, though occasionally full-time positions can be found. Used predominantly by think tanks and MP's offices.
