The Federation of Communication Services, FCS is seeking a dynamic and proactive Chief Executive Officer to replace the current CEO who is retiring.
With a membership of 320 ranging from multinationals to SMEs and sole traders, the FCS represents UK companies that deliver communication products and services via broadband, copper and radio spectrum. The membership of FCS is growing year on year.
We are seeking an individual to lead our Federation and drive forward the medium and long term interests of our members in a regulated environment.
Reporting to the Chairman and the Board of Directors you will responsible for representation of the FCS to Government, Ofcom and the media. The role includes public relations, business and service development, financial management, managing the small team and building close relations with all FCS members.
Candidates must have an appreciation of the telecommunications and radio spectrum sectors.
You will be educated to degree level with demonstrable success in strategic planning, communicating effectively within the industry and the public and experience of regulatory affairs. You will have a pragmatic, proactive, diplomatic, flexible and hands-on approach and work comfortably with a small team, while driving growth and performance. Essential skills are relationship management and the ability to interface equally with Government and very small businesses, bringing an ethos of public service
The post is based at the FCS office in Beckenham, Kent and some UK travel is involved.
