Brussels Explained: An Overview of the European Union – n/a

This training session will provide an invaluable overview of the EU. It will provide delegates with essential knowledge of the workings of the core institutions of the EU, notably the European Commission, the Council of Ministers and the European Parliament; as well explaining to those present how the European Agenda is coordinated across the UK and effectively scrutinised.

Implementation of EU Policy and Legislation in the UK - n/a

This training session provides an in depth study of how EU legislation and policy decisions affect the UK and how we go about implementing such legislation here. It will include an overview of directives, regulations and decisions that now help to shape government policy, scrutiny of European Union legislation in the United Kingdom's Parliament and will examine the implications of having to deal with large quantities of such legislation in Parliament, the civil service and the wider country.

The European Union Policy-Making Process Explained – n/a

This seminar examines in detail how the European Union's policy-making process works, including formal and informal ways of reaching agreement, influencing the process in a timely, appropriate and effective manner, the different types of legislation coming from Brussels, and the dynamics of multi-national discussions and negotiations in the policy-making process.
