Details	The European Federation for Retirement Provision, (“the EFRP”), is the voice of workplace pensions in Europe, representing the various national associations of pension funds and workplace pensions across European Union. Through its Member Associations the EFRP represents circa. €4 trillion of workplace pensions assets and the workplace pension interests of approximately 73 million EU citizens. The EFRP is looking to recruit a Secretary General to lead the Federation in these exciting and critical times for pensions policy and to become the face of workplace pensions in Europe. The Function: Communicate and influence policy makers at the highest levels in Europe; Ensure that the EFRP is recognized as the leading voice of European pensions; Lead the EFRP members in respect of strategic, tactical and technical approaches towards EU pensions policy initiatives; Ensure that the collective experience and expertise of the EFRP and its membership is available to provide guidance, direction and influence in the formulation of EU pensions policy; To initiate and deliver pro-active, and re-active, policy and research proposals; To take full authority and responsibility for the day to day activities and the ongoing strength and success of the EFRP To lead, motivate and inspire the EFRP executive team, and harness the voluntary contributions of EFRP members and supporters. The Profile: Experienced and Expert in some of the keys areas to the role such as EU policy formulation, pensions, insurance, social and labour law Clear Communications, Listening and Influencing Skills Political (Strategic and Tactical) Awareness and Experience Energetic, Innovative, Forward Looking and Solutions Focused Strong Leadership skills Efficiency and Effectiveness to harness all available resources Ability to assume a position of authority and respect with key decision makers Multi-lingual; e.g. proficiency in French and English is desirable The Offer: Leadership position in the primary representative body for private pension institutions in Europe, with Brussels as operating base; Unique opportunity to influence the shape of European pensions policy and represent workplace pensions at the highest level; Competitive and comprehensive remuneration package commensurate with skills and experience.
