Details	Conference of State Bank Supervisors is immediately seeking a Policy Director who will work on state and federal mortgage licensing/registration and supervision issues to forge the policies necessary to advance the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) as the foundation for a new model of financial services oversight. This position will help to implement a wide variety of state and federal initiatives to improve system operations, work toward uniform mortgage industry standards, and firmly establish NMLS as a tool for regulators, industry and consumers. This position is specifically tasked with the management of the policy and operational issues pertaining to use of NMLS by the Federal banking regulators and the Farm Credit Administration and their regulated institutions, as mandated under federal law. The individual will facilitate groups of relevant stakeholders, including federal banking agencies, federally-insured depositories, mortgage professionals, and others to incorporate their ideas into the building of NMLS as a comprehensive supervisory and tool and consumer resource. As a team member, the position will be tasked with projects beyond the federal scope to include state and industry initiatives. Requirements include: Masters Degree in public policy, management preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in public policy or financial services work experience Strong interpersonal skills Ability to present information clearly before large audience Excellent planning and analytical skills Ability to work in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to resolve policy issues Ability to work in fast paced environment managing multiple projects driven by multiple deadlines CSBS offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary.
