Campaign Showcase
.................................................................................................................................................................
The bread and butter of public affairs is the lobbying campaign.
Whether it is seeking to raise awareness, instigate change or develop relationships with key stakeholders in Parliament, success depends upon constructing and executing a carefully considered strategy.
As part of Public Affairs Links' efforts to open up the political communications world, our campaigns showacase aims to show off some of the best public affairs campaigns out there.
Successful in-house and consultancy teams will explain here what they campaigned for, how they did it, why they choose the methods used and what successes they achieved. In effect, this is where to look to find the best work being done in public affairs today.
If you would like to submit your public affairs campaign to the Showcase. please get in touch.

British Property Foundation: Empty Property Rates Campaign
Winner of 'Private Sector Campaign of the Year' by Public Affairs News
"On 1 April 2008, the Government removed a long standing tax relief for commercial properties at an estimated cost of £950m per year. The campaign against empty rates fell naturally into the lap of the British Property Federation (BPF), representing those that own, manage and invest in UK property. Quickly though, the BPF realised that their calls would fall on deaf ears in Whitehall, unless they could relate the heightened tax burden to everyday individuals - pensioners, small business owners, and communities in need of regeneration and investment."
