An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Affairs Manager to join our dynamic team and really make a difference. The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation’s heart charity. We help save lives with information, patient care and pioneering research in to Coronary Heart Disease, the nation’s biggest killer.
The British Heart Foundation (Northern Ireland) is at the cutting edge of campaigning and public affairs work on heart health issues. We aim to make a difference by campaigning on issues ranging from poor diets, sedentary lifestyles and smoking, to ensuring the thousands of people in Northern Ireland now living with heart disease get the best possible treatment and care.
We are seeking a Public Affairs Manager for Northern Ireland to join our award-winning Policy and Communications Division. You will be responsible for managing and implementing a high profile public affairs strategy, with a particular focus on Members of the Northern Irish Assembly, acting as an advisor and spokesperson for key BHF campaigns. You will be relied upon by the Policy and Advocacy team as our eyes and ears in Northern Ireland, and will provide advice and support for all of our employees in Northern Ireland in the areas within your remit.
Ideally you will be educated to degree level; have strong experience of public affairs and/or campaigning in Northern Ireland. You’ll be an exceptional and confident communicator with first-rate people skills, and have the proven ability to work in networks and coalitions to get results.
