Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of 314,000 people with asthma in Wales by building and sharing expertise about asthma. You will help to develop the charity’s strategic approach in Wales and will oversee the delivery of a programme of work to influence policy and standards of care for people with asthma in Wales. This programme will include public affairs, communications, policy development, user and carer involvement, health promotion, stakeholder relations and volunteer development. Having previously worked in a public affairs environment, you will be familiar with the political environment in Wales and the major policy issues affecting people with long-term health conditions. You must have excellent influencing and communication skills, and experience of dealing with the media, managing people, volunteers and projects, developing and delivering annual plans and budgets. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
