The American Public Gas Association (APGA) seeks an energetic, detail-oriented person to serve as the Manager of Government Affairs. APGA's office is located on Capitol Hill. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Government Relations.
Responsibilities include: representing the interests of APGA before Congress and federal agencies; activating and involving APGA members on advocacy efforts; preparing issue briefs; and seeking opportunities to advance APGA goals by meeting with congressional staff. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills are essential. A minimum of two years of professional experience working on legislative issues is required. Experience in energy issues a plus.
Salary starts in the low $70’s, excellent benefits.
