akkanto is looking to strengthen its team with a Consultant with an international profile to help carry out the company's international advocacy and corporate communication assignments for Belgian and international companies and organisations.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Passion for communications
  • Native English speaker with high proficiency in Dutch and/or French
  • At least 2 years experience in international corporate communications and/or public affairs
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Capable of developing and maintaining client relationships and of being responsible for coordinating correspondence with third parties
  • Understanding of and 'hands on' experience with old and new media environment
  • Handling many projects simultaneously, while coping with tight deadlines

The main tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • giving guidance and offering expert advice to clients in communication areas in order to insure high quality communication
  • designing, developing and presenting tailor-made approaches to communication issues
  • being alert for and spotting opportunities to cross sell products of the company to existing clients
  • sharing internal know how with the team.
