Age UK is the new national charity formed by the merger of Age Concern and Help the Aged. Our ambitions are huge - we aim to re-shape our ageing society, so that later life is a time of security and opportunity for all.
To succeed we need to communicate our influencing priorities to a wide range of stakeholders and involve them in shaping our influencing agenda. We are seeking an exceptional public affairs professional to shape the new charity's relationships with its key national stakeholders. If you can bring a mix of excellent written and oral communication skills, high-impact influencing, and creative project management experience than we want to hear from you.
You will be able to add value to a team already working to influence parliament, policy audiences, other charities, the media and think tanks by developing projects that resonate with and involve these groups. You should be able to demonstrate that your previous work influencing stakeholder audiences achieved real change. You will already have developed and implemented strategies to change aspects of public policy. You will have great attention to detail and be confident in organising and delivering influencing events. You will have an interest in our issues and a passion for working with older people.
