Our firm supports our client’s business and public policy interests on the cutting edge of technology and business decision making worldwide.  With offices in London, Abu Dhabi, and Washington DC and expanding resources in Latin America and Asia Pacific, we are truly a global consultancy.   Our organization is a specialist firm supporting information technology clients both from a business practical perspective (ex: support for new technologies market entry, spectrum management, license acquisitions, and identification of revenue opportunities), and the public policy and lobbying perspective (ex: intellectual property protection, broadband and white spaces, standards, trade, cloud computing, security, etc.)   We are a trade, regulation and government affairs firm supporting clients from the satellite, space, mobile, hardware and software industries.   If you are ready for a challenge, please apply.

Duties

The position would 

  • Monitor policies, processes and regulations across a wide range of ICT issues from spectrum management and broadband deployment to intellectual property and trade barriers.   This position will focus on cyber security policies and their impact on our clients.
  • Analyze, develop and articulate these findings into concrete positions, reports, powerpoint presentations, papers, speeches and talking points.
  • Help to develop and execute engagement strategies to secure successful public policy and business outcomes before the US government and foreign governments in support of client objectives.
  • Assist in securing telecommunications licenses for clients in multiple jurisdictions globally. This activity may include;

o    Researching requirements for licenses by engaging directly with regulators in country;
o    Helping to develop technical and political argumentation in support of client sales efforts;
o    Researching cost, risk, process and timing associated with acquiring authorizations; and,
o    Assessing national regulation as it applies to clients’ products.

Position Requirements

  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Bachelors degree in applicable field of study
  • Four years’ work experience
  • Genuine interest in the ICT sector
  • Global perspective and a broad understanding of global trade, politics, and market trends
  • Ability to work well under pressure 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and self-motivate

Desirable

  • Graduate or law degree
  • Experience working in a government agency
  • A familiarity with business environments and the rapid pace of technological change and business demand
  • Strong powerpoint and excel skills
  • Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin
  • Familiarity with the Asia-Pacific region, in particular China and India 

Salary / Benefits
The position is based in Washington DC and would require travel outside the United States.  Salary and benefits are competitive and based on level of experience
